Up4 wasn’t on our radar in the way that other vitamin gummies are, in part because they’re a niche brand, focused exclusively on Probiotics.
But we love that! This isn’t a one-of-many brand trying to be a master of none. These gummy wizards are all-in on making sure your gut flora is on point. And let’s just add that a well-balanced gut/intestinal system is crucial to staying in optimum health!
If probiotic gummies aren’t on your shelf, let’s change that asap, shall we?
We’ll totally forgive them that the name Up4 is a cheeky truncation of “what are you up for?” That’s a little corny for us, even though we have lobbed some groan worthy puns your way on this site (apologies!). But we’ll look past this, because when we have our healthy guts, honestly, we kind of are up for anything actually!
We want to make our guts happy! We have spent time with unhappy guts and it’s never a fun experience. 🚽🥴
Probiotics
So when put that way: who doesn’t want Probiotics to be the foundation of their wellness regimen? It might sound counterintuitive to flood your system with any bacteria, but it’s important to have good bacteria because it actually helps fight off the bad bacteria!
Isn’t it fun to imagine a nice little intestinal war happening inside of you? The fate of your microbiome is at hand!
Back to the goodness of Up4 gummies:
Up4 has an extensive line of probiotics, with additional ingredients to give you some added benefits. Who doesn’t love a little bonus supplementation? They even have a Probiotic Gummy with French Melon, which purportedly promotes mental clarity and focus. Sounds intriguing, so we’re putting that one on our list. Stay tuned!
The Probiotic + Prebiotic Gummies come with Vitamin C, not the recommended DV, but it’s still nice to get a little if you’re missing out on this important vitamin elsewhere.
Let’s address an important question as we take a bigger bite:
What is the difference between Probiotics and Prebiotics?
Do we need both?
Probiotics are the actual beneficial bacteria. Prebiotics are types of fiber that you can’t digest (hello, chicory root!), but which feed the bacteria as they hang out in your gut. This helps the bacteria flourish — and therefore your gut can flourish, too. The more you know. 🎯
These contain 2 Billion CFUs (colony forming units, which is how probiotics are measured) of Bacillus subtilis & Bacillus coagulans. That’s twice as many CFUs as the Rainbow Light Probiolicious, but if you’re looking for even more CFUs, check out Olly’s Extra Strength Probiotics.
These also contain 2g of inulin, a smart-sounding name for the soluble fiber that the probiotic bacteria breaks down.
Tasting Notes
These gummies super tasty, not cloying or sneakily medicinal. However, it’s not the most interesting gummy flavor out there, skewing into Generic Berry Territory. And while we may have high standards — there are some incredibly interesting tasting gummy vitamins out there! — the taste of these is still enjoyable.
All in all, we highly recommend these, both for the benefits of probiotics, but also the high quality and guilt-free goodness Up4 gives us: Non-GMO, Vegan, and Preservative Free!
