It’s hard not to love these vegan Omega gummies from Mary Ruth Organics.
Delicious, effective, made by a great company…but most importantly, these get around the worst parts of taking Omegas: that nasty, greasy fish oil!
Fish oil is commonly the go-to for getting your all important Omegas, but if you’re vegan or vegetarian, don’t let that keep you from making Omegas an important part of your balanced diet.
These Omegas are sourced from Flaxseed Oil and Seaberry, which is a common Omega source in the vegan-alternative world.
Why Omegas?
Some essential Fatty Acids (aka Omegas) are considered essential because your body needs them, but it doesn’t produce them naturally. Therefore if you’re not being mindful of an omega-rich diet or are a vegan/vegetarian, you should probably be looking into some supplements.
Omega 3s work to prevent plaque in the arteries and diminish blood clotting, so they’re instrumental in heart health.* They do this because they are vital in cell membrane and cell receptor function. When your cells are full of Omega 3s, they allow more nutrients to enter, get wastes out of the cell, and keep waste from reentering.
They’re basically like the best hall monitors. And the highest concentration of omegas are found in the brain, which is why when you’re properly loaded up, it can be great for your mental health, too, helping with things like depression and anxiety.*
Omegas 3 and 6 are especially “essential”, meaning if you have a deficiency, there is increased potential for increased heart complications and increased inflammatory and metabolic issues.
Here’s the most important thing about Omegas: you want your diet or supplement routine to maintain a balanced ratio of between 1:1 to 1:4 Omega 3 to Omega 6. A lot of people get too much Omega 6 but not enough Omega 3.
The ratio of 3 to 6 in MaryRuth’s Omega gummies is about 4:1, which is excellent.
Mary Ruth: Organic Phenom
In a world of investor-driven vitamin “disruptors”, we love supporting this brand created by a wondermom, whose passion for organic, vegan, non-GMO products is palpable. She is an inspiring juggernaut of wellness and mom life inspo. Follow her on IG if you want to see what we mean. (Honestly, Mary Ruth had four children in under four years, and appears to have the energy of ten people, if that’s any endorsement for the effectiveness of her products.)
A little note on the tasting: These are delicious. They are a bright and tart mix of Peach, Mango and Apricot, and it all melds together in a fruity cocktail that isn’t overly sweet or cloying.
You do have to take four gummies at a time with MaryRuth, which makes that 120 count less exciting: it’s just a 30 day supply. But these are so delicious we are sure that you won’t mind having to pop a small handful.
These are truly some of our favorite Omegas on the market, but if you’re not convinced, MaryRuth is happy to give you a full refund. Definitely give these a whirl.
