MaryRuth OrganicsApple Cider Vinegar Gummiesreview

These no-nonsense gummies are here to remind you what Apple Cider Vinegar tastes like

Overall

We love Mary Ruth as a brand, and we actually do enjoy the flavor of these. They don't contain as much ACV as some of our other faves, though.

Effectiveness

With 250mg of ACV per gummy, these are in line with a lot of other ACV gummies out there, but some brands like Goli and Embody have twice as much per gummy.

Tastiness

Straight to the point ACV in your mouth. Not nearly as sweet as other ACV gummies, we actually really like these, but your mileage may vary.

Bang For Buck

These are a little more expensive than some ACV gummies, but for organic, non-GMO, vegan, high-quality ingredients? Put that way, they're reasonably priced for sure.

Apple Cider Vinegar gummies are all the rage. In large part because taking a shot of straight Apple Cider Vinegar is pretty intense (miserable?), and it can also be hard on the teeth and upset your stomach.

While most ACV gummies out there go to great lengths to sugarcoat (sometimes literally) the potent tang of Apple Cider Vinegar, today we’d like to introduce you to a gummy that throws all that sugarcoated nonsense out that window and delivers the mouth-puckering delight of Apple Cider Vinegar straight up: Mary Ruth Organics Apple Cider Vinegar gummies.

👉 And we’d also like to go ahead and mention that we’ve spent a lot of time considering the ACV zeitgeist, and have all of your burning questions answered in our Guide to Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies, including an extensive list of potential benefits, and how ACV really works. (Like most beautiful creations, it involves a Mother.)

Mary Ruth Organics

Mary Ruth Organics is a family owned and operated business. We definitely consume a lot of Olly gummies, so we’re no stranger to Big Ol’ Brands, but we always love to support the smaller, boutique purveyors of gummy supplements.

Especially ones that put such care into their products: all Mary Ruth’s products are made with organic ingredients, vegan, non-GMO, and are designed with the fewest number of allergens possible.

In general, Mary Ruth is not a brand that came to play. Sure they make fun, playful gummy vitamins, but their entire ethos screams “these are good for you”, and their ACV gummy is no exception.

Ingredients

The pale color of these gummies already let you know that Mary Ruth is not here to coddle you into taking your AVC.

Pink and red colored gummies abound in the ACV world, often colored with Beet Juice.  Which isn’t just for coloring, but also for some purported superfood benefits.

The funny thing is though, is that Mary Ruth’s gummies also contain organic Beet Root (40 micrograms worth), but somehow they remain the color of vinegar, as if Mary Ruth wanted to stay in line with all the other Beet-fueled AVC gummies, but without the fun coloring.

These also contain 40 mcg of Pomegranate Juice, another common superfood added to ACV gummies. And yet again, pomegranate is also a rich source of deep red coloring…which doesn’t show up here whatsoever.  🤷🏻‍♀️

You’d think, considering how strongly these taste of ACV, plus the pale white color, that these would be loaded with Apple Cider Vinegar.

Two of Mary Ruth’s gummies contain 500 milligrams of Apple Cider Vinegar, which is decent, but not as much the Goli or Embody gummies, which both have 500 mg of ACV in just one gummy.

To be fair, 250 mg per gummy is in line with most other ACV gummies out there.  It’s just that we expected more in these, based on the taste!

Also, like most gummy vitamins, there’s some vitamin B12 included.  We find that some many gummy vitamins we wouldn’t think would have B vitamins, often have some sort of B sprinkled in for good measure. They do help convert food to energy, so maybe that’s why?

Either way, these contain 1.2 micrograms of B12, which is 50% of your DV. Not bad!

Tasting Notes

So yes, if you’ve been following along, it will be no surprise to you that the level of tastiness here depends on how you feel about the “tastiness” of Apple Cider Vinegar.

Personally, we enjoy the extreme sour we get from these gummies. However, it would be misleading to say this is our favorite of all the flavors. It’s fun to take these on occasion, even just as a way to feel a little hardcore. I mean, give us a break, we have a pink gummy vitamin website. We want to feel a little tough sometimes.

For tangy flavor, mitigated by some apple-y sweetness, we actually kind of like the taste of Goli the best.

Final Thoughts

If you’re considering trying these, this one is definitely worth a shot (ACV joke, lol!). We love supporting small businesses, and Mary Ruth always offer 100% refund if you’re not completely satisfied (no return required!).

If you already know that you want your ACV to go down sweeter, we’ll also recommend Embody’s ACV gummies, which still give you the full ACV experience, but you get the tang without the pucker.  😘

Embody burst into the gummy galaxy in the summer of 2020 with the “world’s first retinol gummy,” a brilliant move that changed the face of edible skincare and has been super successful since they launched, recently even getting picked up by Urban Outfitters. Embody teased a new drop early February and we were on the […]

These are an easy way to incorporate ACV, a potent vinegar that is often difficult to stomach, quite literally!  The flavor is great, and they give you the results you are looking for, without the harsh side effects.
