When Cosmos Vita reached out to us to alert us to the existence of their gummies, we were (as usual) pumped to learn about a new gummy brand, but we were kind of even more pumped to see a brand and aesthetic after our own heart.
Galaxy-themed gummies?? It was like discovering our visual twin flame.
Stars and moons and Apple Cider Vinegar gummies? “Wellness that is out of this world”? We all know great minds think alike, so we immediately concluded that there are some great minds over at Cosmos Vita.
A Cosmos By Any Other Name
“Vita” means “Life” in Latin, so we can only assume they’re implying that Gummies are Life. Agreed. In addition, we are all about the Cosmic Life, so we were curious who was behind this company.
Their founder Mary Berry (How cute is that name!) was already a heavy-hitter in the wellness and manufacturing space, having founded Goodkind Co, a product and services resource for Clean Beauty brands and creators. Her bio says she loves succulents and starry skies.
TBH, we are low key fangirling over MB, and want to interview her for the GG. Stay tuned, because we might just be reaching out to her for our first ever CEO Gummyside Chat.
Cosmos Vita generously sent us their entire lineup, and we decided to dive into their “Gutsy” gummy first. We definitely could use more gutsiness in our lives in general, and we are still huge ACV gummy fans, so we’re ready to introduce you all to the newest in our lives.
Ingredients
Two Cosmos Vita gummies contain 500 milligrams of Organic Apple Cider Vinegar. This is the standard amount for most ACV gummies: brands like Vitafive and Mary Ruth Organics contain the same amount per two-gummy serving.
On the other hand, the biggest ACV gummy juggernaut around, Goli, contains 1,000 mg per two gummies. Goli has kind of set the standard for a two gummy ACV dose.
Now Apple Cider Vinegar isn’t the kind of thing that comes with a recommended daily value, so there’s no hard or fast rule about how much you should take. But there have been studies that show the ballpark amount you should take daily to see some benefits. We’ve got the details in our Apple Cider Vinegar 101, which is worth a gander.
(And we realized we’re biased, but we think we can help you understand the vast, ever-expanding ACV cosmos we’re living in!)
And to that end, while Cosmos Vita recommends two gummies per day, they also say don’t exceed eight gummies in a 24 hour period, acknowledging that you can go to town if you want to play around with your daily intake.
Cosmos Vita ACV gummies contain The Mother, are vegan, and have an admirably short ingredient list.
Tasting Notes
These gummies do a great job of giving the Fall Fantasy that not all ACV gummies manage to capture. These are like a cider harvest, just the right amount of crisp apple sweetness. Not too much though, and certainly not veering into barely-masked ACV sourness, like we get from, say, Mary Ruth Organics.
Honestly, these are a dream. One of our favorite-tasting ACV gummies.
Final Thoughts
There are so many ACV gummies out there, it’s really hard to pick our favorite, and it’s really hard to parse through them all in some ways. It’s gonna come down to personal taste preference, and how much ACV you want to get in your two gummy amount, how much sugar, etc. (These have 3 grams of sugar per two gummies.)
The reasons to love Cosmos Vita ACV gummies are the flavor, the price, the branding of our dreams (sorry, not sorry), and the fact that this is a small, women-owned boutique brand. Our only real drawback is that if you want the 1,000 mg ACV per two gummy serving, you’ll have to go to Goli or Embody (and Embody is a bit pricier, but comes in an adorable apple shape).
And stay tuned for more from Cosmos Vita! This may be our first rodeo with this Texan beauty, but it won’t be our last.
